Spain's Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT) has established uniform parking regulations for motorhomes nationwide. A motorhome is legally considered a vehicle and can park anywhere parking is permitted, with municipalities prohibited from imposing arbitrary bans. Only 'camping on the open road'—using external equipment—is forbidden, while sleeping or eating inside the vehicle is allowed.
