In Brief

Buyers in Valencia say they paid for motorhomes they never received. They estimate 60 families are affected, with losses of up to €3.5m.

Buyers of motorhomes in the Spanish province of Valencia say they paid for vehicles they never received. They estimate that 60 families have been affected by the suspected fraud, with a total of €3.5m involved.

Earlier, 57 families from across Spain said they had reported a Valencian company. They paid in full for motorhomes priced between €77,000 and €85,000, but did not receive them after months of waiting. Together the purchases came to €3,250,000.

People take turns waiting at the door of the company in La Pobla de Vallbona for an explanation. One buyer, who lives in the province of Valencia, said: "Everything looks very bad. We paid the deposit, we are paying off a loan and we do not have the vehicle."
