On Thursday, Oct. 1, Nebraska’s new RV franchise law took effect. Earlier this year, the Nebraska Legislature passed the law by a 48–1 vote. The law establishes a framework for manufacturer-dealer relationships in Nebraska’s RV industry, covering written agreements, termination and repurchase, transfers and succession, warranty responsibilities, pre-delivery inspections, indemnification, mediation and penalties. It also increases the maximum allowable length of fifth-wheel trailers to 46 feet, removes van conversions from the definition of an RV, and updates the reference to the 2025 ANSI A119.5 Park Model RV Standard.
