The South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) and Winchester City Council have removed unauthorised caravans, mobile homes and sheds from a field on Long Road in Soberton. The three-day operation cleared gas bottles, non-agricultural vehicles and waste after the landowner repeatedly ignored warnings and a High Court injunction against residential and recreational use. Further enforcement work is planned to restore the site to agricultural use.
