The Dutch House of Representatives rejected a motion to restore the quarter-rate tax for motorhomes. Starting 2026, motorhomes will be taxed at half the standard rate instead of the previous quarter. For a typical diesel motorhome weighing 2,950 kg, annual costs will increase by €1,172. Older diesel models (pre-2009) will also face a surcharge for particulate emissions.
