Dutch body VvE.nl has clarified that even with a private parking space at an apartment, an owners' association can restrict the storage of motorhomes and caravans. The decisive documents are the deed of division and the associated regulations. The 2017 Model Regulations require private spaces intended for motor vehicles to be used for vehicles ready to drive, and prohibit storing caravans without the meeting's consent. In 2015 the Arnhem-Leeuwarden court of appeal annulled a motorhome ban and a 5,000 euro fine because the statutes of a recreation park provided an insufficient basis. In 2026 the Amsterdam court ruled that an owners' association cannot use its internal rules to allocate shared parking spaces exclusively to certain apartments.
