On 18 September 2026, a notice (No. 82) agreed by China's State Council and jointly issued by ten departments, including the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the National Development and Reform Commission, was published. The service limit for rented small and micro motorhomes is raised from 15 to 25 years, for caravan trailers from 15 to 20 years, while personal non-commercial motorhomes are treated like passenger cars and exempted from mandatory scrapping. The document also provides for revising the national vehicle classification standard, expanding C6 driving-test sites and developing campsites.
