From July 1, 2026, the Netherlands introduces a road toll for trucks over 3.5 tonnes. Motorhomes, regardless of weight, are exempt.
From July 1, 2026, the Netherlands introduces a new road toll (Vrachtwagenheffing) for trucks with a gross weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes. Motorhomes (Wohnmobile) are excluded from this toll, even if their permissible weight exceeds 3.5 tonnes. The toll applies only to commercial trucks.
Owners of motorhomes with foreign license plates are advised to register their vehicle on the website vrachtwagenheffing.nl to avoid errors during automatic recognition.
