In North Rhine-Westphalia, the number of registered motorhomes continues to rise, except in the city of Mönchengladbach, where a decrease was recorded. According to IT.NRW data as of January 1, 2026, the total fleet of motorhomes in the state reached 211,800 units, up 7% from the previous year and 35.7% from 2022. The motorhome density in the state was 118 per 10,000 residents, below the national average of 125. The highest density was in the Coesfeld district (197), the lowest in Gelsenkirchen (56). Districts registered 149,400 motorhomes (139 per 10,000 residents), while cities registered 62,400 (86 per 10,000 residents).
