The town of Hamminkeln has suspended plans for a motorhome pitch at Lake Weikensee. The project was halted because the estimated cost of 300,000 euros was deemed too high for the municipality. Economic development officer Thomas Michaelis had supported the pitch, but the town said it was not economically viable. The FWI faction opposed the plan.
