According to industry sources, Sweden registered 4,834 motorhomes in the first eight months of 2026, up 50.4% from 3,215 in the same period of 2025. Caravan registrations fell 4.6% to 1,067 from 1,119.
In August 2026, 488 motorhomes were registered (396 in August 2025) and 100 caravans (123 a year earlier). The industry association says the growth is partly due to early registrations to meet new Euro 6 emission standards, while the weak caravan market is linked to household finances.
The industry is preparing for the Elmia Husvagn Husbil trade show, scheduled for September 9–13.
