In Sweden, registrations of new motorhomes in the first seven months of the year rose by 54.2% compared with the same period last year. According to the HRF association, a total of 4,346 motorhomes have been registered since the start of the year (2,819 in 2025). In July, 819 motorhomes were registered, compared with 539 a year earlier. Caravan registrations fell by 2.9% (967 vs 996). Part of the growth is attributed to early registrations due to new Euro 6 rules and stricter EU safety requirements, so some motorhomes have not yet been delivered to buyers. According to HRF, the caravan market is affected by the economic situation and household caution.
Writer Alex Schulman, in a column for Dagens Nyheter, said he and his wife have decided to buy a motorhome to follow the sun and avoid autumn. The decision was made at the end of summer, when the couple thought about the coming autumn. Details about the model and price have not been disclosed.
The industry exhibition Elmia Husvagn Husbil will take place on September 9–13.
