Fiat Scudo debuts in Japan: sales start in 2027

Stellantis Japan unveiled the mid-size van Fiat Scudo at the Japan Truck Show 2026 in Yokohama. The model is scheduled for Japanese launch in 2027. Positioned between the Ducato and Doblo, the Scudo offers a cargo area up to 1.9 m long, 6.6 cubic meters volume, and a payload of about 1000 kg. It is powered by diesel turbo engines ranging from 145 to 180 hp, with an electric E-Scudo version possible. The Scudo is considered a potential base for motorhomes and an alternative to Japanese commercial vans.

Stellantis Japan introduced the Fiat Professional brand for the first time at the Japan Truck Show 2026 in Yokohama. Alongside the already popular Ducato, the company unveiled the mid-size LCV Scudo, which will enter the Japanese market in 2027. The Scudo is a six-seat Crew Cab with a length of 4980 mm, a cargo area width of 1.3 m, length of 1.8 m, and height of 1.3 m. Payload reaches 1000 kg, and maximum volume is 6.6 cubic meters. Diesel turbo engines 1.5–2 L (145–180 hp) are paired with a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. The Japanese specification is not yet finalized; an electric E-Scudo version is also under consideration.
