In the first seven months of 2026, new registrations of motorhomes and caravans in Germany fell by 3% year-on-year to 63,329 units, according to the Caravaning Industrie Verband (CIVD). The decline follows a 2.3% drop in the full year 2025. Weak economic conditions and high prices are deterring buyers, while manufacturers are still clearing inventories built up during the pandemic boom. The CIVD expects the market to recover once the economy improves.
