At the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, which opened on August 28, more than 830 exhibitors are presenting motorhomes, caravans and related products. According to the Caravaning Industry Association (CIVD), new registrations of motorhomes and caravans in Germany fell by 3% to 63,329 in the first seven months of 2026. Manufacturers such as Hymer and Carthago see this as a normalization after the pandemic boom and are focusing on package deals. The most expensive caravan on display costs 275,000 euros, while two luxury motorhomes are priced at 2.2 million euros each.
