Dongfeng has introduced the hybrid minivan Xinghai V9 featuring an original electric pop-up roof. The model is available in two versions: a four-seater for 258,800 yuan (about 223,800 yuan at dealers) and a seven-seater for 278,800 yuan. Range per CLTC cycle is 200 km on electric power and 1300 km in hybrid mode.
Standard equipment includes a 3-meter awning, a 750-liter roof luggage box, 6 kW external power, refrigerator, induction cooker, and water heater. Drawbacks noted: fast charging power of 40 kW (30-80% in 35 minutes), increased fuel consumption with the roof raised to 6.2 L/100 km, and hard plastic used in the interior trim.
According to another source, the 2027 model year Forthing Xinghai V9 was presented as a plug-in hybrid MPV aimed at camping. It features a transformable interior with a maximum trunk volume of 2616 liters, a 200 km electric range (CLTC), and a 5-liter onboard refrigerator. The starting price under the trade-in program is 1,699,000 rubles.
