Premiere and base
Direct Cars will present a special camper version dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Thunderbirds series at the Yokohama Camping Car Show 2026, to be held on September 26–27, 2026 at Pacifico Yokohama. The model is based on the Daihatsu Hijet Truck chassis.
Design and equipment
The design follows the Thunderbirds 2 style: dark green body, marking "2", yellow accent lines, red wheels, "THUNDERBIRDS" logo and "IR" badge. Inside are a DC cooler, refrigerator, power systems, storage spaces and a sleeping area above the cab.
Production and sale
Production is limited to 6 units, sold by lottery. Applications are accepted from September 26, 2026 to February 28, 2027. An entry fee is required to participate. Images are pre-production; final specifications may change.
