Japanese company Direct Cars will present the new Katana camper van based on the Toyota Camroad at the Japan Camping Car Show 2026, held from January 30 to February 2 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. The model will be shown to the public for the first time, with sales starting simultaneously with the exhibition.
The camper van is equipped with four-wheel drive (4WD) and a 3.0-liter diesel engine. Features include a 400 Ah lithium-ion battery, a household air conditioner, a foldable bunk bed, and a 32-inch television. The body has special protective coating and rear swing doors.
In total, Direct Cars will showcase seven new camper van models at the show, with the KATANA as the flagship.
