In the first four months of 2026, Italy registered 4,050 new motorhomes, up 14.96% from 3,523 in the same period of 2025. The European market grew by 10% over the same period, from 58,539 to 64,406 units. According to the Salone del Camper, by the end of August the 2025–2026 season closed with Italian registrations up 4.95%, while the European market remained essentially stable. In 2025, Italy registered 7,936 new motorhomes (+10.56% over 2024), and used vehicle transfers rose 6.05%. Italy is Europe's third-largest motorhome producer after Germany and France, exporting over 80% of its output. The Ministry of Tourism selected 152 projects in 170 municipalities to create or upgrade 4,464 pitches, with €25.76 million in funding.
