In the first four months of 2026, Italy registered 4,050 new motorhomes, a 14.96% increase compared to the same period in 2025 (3,523 units). This growth is nearly five percentage points above the European average of 10% (64,406 units vs. 58,539).
Italy remains the third-largest motorhome producer in Europe after Germany and France, exporting over 80% of its output. The Ministry of Tourism has allocated €25.76 million for 152 projects to create or modernize 4,464 motorhome parking areas across 170 municipalities.
In 2025, re-registrations of motorhomes also increased (+6.05%), and including new and used vehicles, Italians purchased more than 44,000 such vehicles in total.
