German manufacturer Carado has introduced the new CV595 X-Edition camper based on the Volkswagen Crafter with 4Motion all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission. This is the first time the brand has used a Volkswagen base. The model is likely a twin of the Sunlight Ibex, presented in May 2026.
The vehicle is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine producing 163 hp and 400 Nm of torque, and features off-road upgrades: tires on reinforced Delta 4x4 rims, rear differential lock, increased ground clearance, and additional LED headlights. The camper is 5.99 meters long.
Standard equipment includes four seats and two or three sleeping berths up to two meters long, a kitchen block, sink, dining area, refrigerator, and a shower with toilet. An optional winter package adds improved insulation, a more powerful heater, and water heating. The expected price is around 90,000 euros (according to one source) or 92,650 euros (according to another).
