On Wednesday night in Lahr-Mietersheim (Ortenau district), a witness spotted a burning caravan on a garden plot and alerted police and firefighters. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, which had already spread significantly by the time they arrived. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
