A luxury German camper, confiscated in May by the Keelung prosecutor's office for its use in drug smuggling, was sold at an auction organized by the Yilan District Administrative Enforcement Agency. The auction took place today with 10 bidders and 73 rounds of bidding. The final price reached NT$1.15 million.
According to one source, the vehicle was put up for auction with the consent of the accused. Representatives of the prosecutor's office and investigative agencies attended the auction. The buyer, who owns a vacant plot of land, plans to use the camper as mobile housing.
