Cities are grouped into regions, and a region's score is the median of its cities so dense clusters don't outweigh sparse ones. Final score = 0.65 × “best areas” (80th percentile of regions) + 0.35 × “typical conditions” (median of regions), so one warm city can't push the whole country to 100. Each city's score blends warmth (feels-like), sun, rain and wind, adjusted for night temperature and, on the coast, the sea. Data: Open-Meteo, refreshed several times a day.

Taiwanese financial writer Li Xuewen, 62, has converted a white van into a camper and uses it for trips to the coast and mountains while continuing to work. She plans to keep this lifestyle until about age 70, when she will face age-related driving licence checks. Li, author of 'Let Your Pension Last to the End', advises people aged 50–65 to secure three things: financial autonomy, health management and social networks. She has written a holographic will, considers trust arrangements and recommends early designation of a guardian and advance medical directives.
A man in Taiwan was fined 1,500 New Taiwan dollars for parking a car with a camper trailer in a bus-only space at the Houbihu Marina in Kenting National Park. He appealed, arguing that no dedicated parking areas or prohibition signs were provided. The Kaohsiung High Administrative Court dismissed his appeal, stating that finding a suitable parking spot is the driver's responsibility. The owner plans to file a further appeal.

Taoxi Manyou resort near Shimen Reservoir in Taiwan is offering a Mid-Autumn Festival camper accommodation package from September 25 to 27. Rates start at 8,800 New Taiwan dollars per room per night and include four meals, outdoor activities, and a night movie screening.

In Taichung's Houli district, water and power infrastructure for an RV camping zone is finished. Water has been available since April; electricity is expected by year-end after regulations are approved. A council member urges faster opening.
In Taoyuan County, only 18 of 153 campsite applications have been fully legalized. Authorities admit the main hurdle is the second phase, involving soil conservation and wastewater treatment. Six campsites in geologically sensitive areas have been fined and shut down.
South Korean cheerleader Lee Da-hye, who performs for the Wei Chuan Dragons team, has converted her new car into a camper by herself. She added window tinting and other features, then announced plans to drive to Wuling Mountain for an overnight stay in the vehicle.

A German camper seized in May for drug smuggling was auctioned today for NT$1.15 million after 73 bids. The buyer plans to use it as mobile housing.
The Kouhu Township Office in Yunlin County has begun leasing the camping area at Haikou Story Park. The annual rent is NT$234,000, but eligible operators can receive a 60% discount, reducing it to NT$140,400. Renovations costing NT$17 million are expected to be completed by the end of the year, with operations potentially starting in the first half of next year.
