A free, unregulated public parking lot next to Paoma Historic Trail Park in Jiaoxi, Yilan County, has become a popular overnight spot for motorhome users, who park there to walk to nearby hot springs. The lot is often full on weekends, reducing turnover and leaving local residents and park visitors without spaces. The county government said it will consider a management plan that balances overnight motorhome use with parking needs of nearby residents.
