On Monday evening, a caravan caught fire at the Playa La Bota campsite in Punta Umbría (Huelva). The 112 emergency service received more than 80 calls around 22:00. A 71-year-old woman was injured and taken to Juan Ramón Jiménez Hospital in Huelva.
Firefighters from the Huelva provincial consortium extinguished the blaze, preventing it from spreading to other structures. According to sources, the Infoca unit was not needed. The campsite administration said the incident did not affect operations and reminded of the ban on barbecues and open flames until October 15.
