The municipality of Noordenveld has had a caravan at Vlasveen in Roden towed away. The caravan was on municipal land and had been left there for too long, according to the municipality. The report about the white caravan with red accents came in at the end of May. Enforcement officers found the caravan in early June and placed a warning asking for it to be removed within ten working days or for the owner to contact the municipality. Since no one came forward and the caravan remained, the municipality decided to intervene. On 27 July, the caravan was taken to a municipal storage facility in Peize. The costs for towing amount to 750 euros and will be recovered from the owner once known. The owner can pick up the caravan until 2 November. If not, the municipality may sell or destroy it. According to the General Local Ordinance, recreational vehicles such as caravans may not be parked on public roads within built-up areas for more than three days.
