A caravan separated from its towing vehicle on the A93 motorway near Mainburg. The incident occurred on 25 October at around 16:15 in the direction of Munich. A 67-year-old driver from the Kelheim district was towing the caravan, which became detached from the tow hitch for unknown reasons. The caravan veered right, hit the crash barrier, rebounded left into the central reservation barrier and came to a stop in the left lane. No one was injured, but the caravan was significantly damaged and no longer drivable. Police estimated the material damage at around 10000 euros.
