Val d'Orcia: arrests for car thefts
Carabinieri arrested two young people for thefts from parked cars in Val d'Orcia. In a camper stopped on July 10 near Bagno Vignoni, stolen goods and lock-picking tools were found. A third suspect was released under probation.
Brescia: attempted camper theft
In Brescia, police arrested a 40-year-old Latvian citizen with no fixed address for attempting to steal a camper. The suspect, along with an accomplice, forced the door of a camper parked on Via Filippo Brunelleschi and tried to start the engine with a screwdriver. A local resident raised the alarm. The suspect tried to flee through fields but was blocked. Burglary tools and gloves were seized. The accomplice fled and is being sought. The suspect was charged with aggravated theft and banned from returning to Brescia for 4 years.
Treviso: drug dealing from a camper
The Financial Guard of Treviso arrested a Moroccan citizen who organized 24-hour drug sales from a camper parked near a supermarket in Castelfranco. A search seized 27 grams of cocaine, 56 grams of hashish, electronic scales, and 8,750 euros in cash. The suspect, with prior drug convictions, was jailed; a buyer was fined. Deportation procedures have begun.
