A caravan parked on Universitätsstraße in the Eichlinghofen district of Dortmund was completely destroyed by fire on Monday evening. Firefighters arrived at about 22:30 and found the vehicle fully ablaze. They removed a gas cylinder from the caravan before extinguishing the fire, which took just over an hour. The road towards Witten was closed during the operation. Police have seized the remains and are investigating suspected arson.
