Caravan fires
Kiel, Switzerland (July 24): On the evening of July 24, a caravan caught fire in the Schreventeich district. The fire spread to the roof of a neighboring building, damaging a photovoltaic system. 40 firefighters from Kiel's professional and volunteer brigades extinguished the fire by 10:00 PM. No injuries.
Aalen, Germany (June 22): On the evening of June 22, a caravan burned out completely in a fast-food restaurant parking lot. The driver noticed the fire while driving and managed to pull into the lot. According to police, a technical defect is the suspected cause. Damage estimated at 4,000 euros; no injuries.
Stuhr, Germany (May 19): On Monday evening on Wulfhooper Street in Stuhr, a towed caravan caught fire. The driver noticed smoke, detached the caravan, and managed to remove two gas cylinders, but the caravan burned out completely to the coupling. The cause is still unknown.
Motorhome accident
