On Sunday morning, a car with a caravan rolled down an embankment at the ferry crossing in Dordrecht. The incident occurred around 08:35 on Provincial Road, just before the vehicle was to board the ferry to Werkendam (according to other sources, to Biesbos).
The woman managed to jump out of the car and sustained minor injuries; she was taken to hospital. A dog inside the vehicle was rescued and returned to its owner, unharmed. Preliminary reports suggest the car was not secured with the handbrake, causing it to roll. The quay held the trailer, and the vehicles did not fall into the water. Two tow trucks were needed to recover the car and caravan. Ferry service towards Biesbos has been suspended.
