On Monday evening, August 3, 2026, on the A81 between the Osterburken and Boxberg junctions, a BMW collided with a combination of a Seat and a caravan. According to police, the 46-year-old BMW driver on the left lane did not notice in time the combination that was changing from right to left. Despite emergency braking, the collision could not be avoided.
The impact caused the caravan to skid, hit the guardrails and overturn. The Seat driver (49) and his passenger (44) suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospitals. All vehicles were damaged and towed away. The damage is estimated at around 30,000 euros.
