Toy Factory, Japan's largest camper manufacturer based on the Toyota HiAce, has announced its participation in the Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026, where it will present the Swiss waterless toilet "Clesana X1". The event will take place on July 11–12, 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight.
The device uses multi-layer film heat-welding technology to hermetically seal waste without water or chemicals, allowing disposal as household trash. The X1 model is more compact than its predecessor C1 and was developed with insights from the Noto Peninsula earthquake relief efforts. Since January 2026, pre-orders and inquiries have exceeded company expectations. At the show, buyers will receive a bonus of 6820 points (equivalent to a box of consumable film for 112 uses). The toilet is already being deployed in Gifu Prefecture and other regions for civil defense and BCP needs.
