Messe Düsseldorf confirms role as organizer of leisure trade fairs

On September 19, 2026, NDR's program 'Die Ratgeber' will offer advice on safe and carefree motorhome travel, along with tips for a relaxed start to the autumn holidays. Additional segments include a visit to a music festival in the Dolomites, preventing mold in homes, and a tour of Europe's oldest drive-in cinema in Gravenbruch.

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's Minister-President Manuela Schwesig kicked off her state election campaign tour at the family-run business Caravan-Wendt in Kremmin near Grabow. The company, founded 36 years ago, offers over 800 motorhomes and caravans at two locations and is the largest dealer in northern Germany. Schwesig spoke with employees and trainees, and learned about prices for used caravans (from 7,000 euros) and rental options.

SpaceCamper has developed four special models based on the Classic+ to mark its 20th anniversary, with features chosen by its community of owners. The Classic+ Dog includes a dedicated sleeping area for large dogs, with a cutout in the bed, plus a ramp, spill-proof bowl and temperature monitoring. The Classic+ Bike carries two bicycles inside while retaining three berths, and the Classic+ 6.Sitz adds a folding sixth seat. Details of the Classic+ Toilette will be revealed at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf.

Hymer has introduced two new Crossover models based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: the ML-T 570 and the Grand Canyon S 600. They come standard with all-wheel drive, underbody protection for the engine and water tank, all-terrain tires, and an LED light bar. The onboard systems promise up to 10 days of independent travel. The layouts differ: the ML-T 570 features two single beds at the rear and a convertible seating area, while the Grand Canyon S 600 has a transverse bed measuring 1.95 x 1.35 meters. Optional Tallinn leather upholstery is available.

The inflatable Dometic TRT 140 roof tent is now available for 2,187 euros, a 13% discount from the recommended price of 2,500 euros. Designed for two people, it features a foam mattress, AIR Frame single-point inflation, and Weathershield polycotton material with mesh windows. The sleeping area measures 145×218 cm, height is 115 cm, and weight is 47.89 kg. An alternative is the Skandika Wildland roof tent at 1,999 euros instead of 2,699 euros, which sets up in about one minute via remote control.

Dethleffs has expanded its range of compact motorhomes with the Just Van model, built on the Fiat Ducato. The vehicle is 2.20 meters wide, 2.73 meters high, and ranges from 5.99 to 6.98 meters in length. Three floor plans are available, including a new T5 version with a lounge featuring two opposing sofas. The motorhome includes a full kitchen, a rotating bathroom, and a rear cargo area. Prices start at 60,999 euros for the T1 version.
