Pitch reduction
Camping Metsu in Bredene (Belgium) will lose 90 of 320 pitches for motorhomes and caravans. Permanent guests must remove their caravans by November. A total of 230 pitches remain, with the smallest plots mainly disappearing.
New owner
New owner Yannick Desmet is increasing parking spaces and plans to modernise the campsite by creating more spacious pitches, as caravans are getting larger. The Metsu family has sold the campsite and is retiring; management passes to Caravancenter Desmet.
Permanent customers who will have to leave their pitches by November call the decision "outrageous".
