The municipality of O Grove reported that from July 10 to Sunday, local police issued more than 80 fines for caravan-related violations, mainly for improper parking. Mayor José Cacabelos stated that control has become more thorough, especially in popular areas such as A Toxa and A Lanzada, and noted a significant decrease in the number of caravans on the beaches of As Pipas and Reboredo, where prohibition signs have been installed.
Parking of any vehicle is also prohibited from 23:00 to 8:00, and authorities are considering creating park-and-ride lots. The mayor acknowledged that this year the flow of such vehicles to the town was lower than in previous years, especially in the Pas das Pipas area.
