La Strada celebrated its 40th anniversary of motorhome production by comparing a 1986 VW T3-based HD 80 with the current Avanti F Edition 40. The event took place at the Keltenmuseum am Glauberg near Echzell, Hesse. The HD 80, a high-top camper with a 50 hp diesel, dates from 1986, when the company was founded as Baumgartner Reisemobile GmbH. Vario Mobil Perfect and Star have been available gas-free since 2025. Compressor refrigerators, induction hobs and diesel heaters replace gas systems. According to promobil, no gas-related incidents have been documented in over 40 years of testing.

A Fiat Ducato Maxi La Strada Avanti C camper, 12 years old with registration K-658-RP, was stolen from a driveway on Dauwheuvel in Best, Netherlands, around midnight on Monday. The owner's son says his father is distraught, as his wife, with whom he travelled in the camper, died less than three weeks ago. The son is urging people to share tips and video footage with police; neighbour footage shows two men aged roughly 20 to 30 meeting at the camper, after which one drives it away and the second runs and gets in. Personal items inside included climbing gear, mountain boots, clothing and an inflatable canoe.

La Strada unveiled the Avanti R motorhome at the Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf. Based on the Fiat Ducato, the 6.36-metre model features a super-high roof (H3) and a layout designed for two people: instead of a fixed rear bed, it has a large face-to-face lounge with two longitudinal benches, while sleeping is provided by an electrically lowering drop-down bed measuring 202 x 192 cm.
