Owner spots stolen travel trailer on Vancouver Island highway, four arrested

Oceanside RCMP recovered a stolen 32-foot Jayco travel trailer valued at approximately $80,000 after the owner spotted it being towed on Highway 19. Police stopped the vehicle on Highway 4 near Whiskey Creek and arrested four occupants. One suspect had outstanding warrants; all face charges of possession of stolen property over $5,000. The trailer has been returned to its owner.

Retain Media released its Q1 2026 RV Market Brand Consideration Report, based on over 2.7 million search queries, detailing consumer interest across Australia's recreational vehicle sector. Jayco launches motorhome on Chinese chassis

Australian manufacturer Jayco has introduced the Freedom model on an LDV Deliver 9 chassis. This is the first time the company uses a Chinese platform instead of European ones. The motorhome is powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine producing 128 kW and 420 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Interior features two single beds, a separate toilet, and a compact kitchen. The electrical system includes a 200 Ah battery and a 200 W solar panel. Starting price is AUD 125,000.
