Seven motorhome brands recalled over faulty ISOFIX mount

The European Safety Gate system has reported recalls for motorhomes from seven brands within the Erwin Hymer Group: Bürstner, Corigon, Dethleffs, Etrusco, Hymer, Laika, and LMC. The issue is a defective weld on the ISOFIX bracket, which may fail in a crash and increase the risk of injury to a child. The recall covers vehicles built from January 1, 2018, to May 1, 2026; the exact number of affected units has not been disclosed.

Average price of new camper in Lithuania rises by €30,000 in five years

The average price of a new camper in Lithuania has increased from €48,000 to €78,000 (excluding VAT) over five years, a rise of more than 60%. According to data from the company 'Kemperiai 365', the buyer profile has shifted: more people over 60, who have sold their homes or businesses, are buying premium campers for extended winter trips to Spain or Portugal. Premium German brands such as Malibu Carthago, Hymer, and Adria are gaining popularity. Modern engineering allows fully integrated campers to stay under 3.5 tonnes, making them drivable with a standard B-category license. High-end campers depreciate by only about €4,000 per year.

Police search for missing man in white Hymer motorhome

The Western Uusimaa police are searching for a missing man, approximately 70 years old, who left his home in Vihti, Selki, on Thursday 23 July at around 9:45 a.m. in a white Hymer motorhome with license plate HCZ-602. The man has short light-brown hair and glasses and may be traveling by motorhome or other means. Anyone with sightings of the man or the vehicle is asked to call the emergency number 112.

According to a report by Spherical Insights & Consulting, the global motorhome market is projected to grow from USD 37.8 billion in 2025 to USD 61.5 billion by 2035, at a CAGR of 5.0%. Growth is driven by rising road tourism, expanding RV infrastructure, adoption of smart and sustainable technologies, and the rise of digital nomads. Motorhome test: five models for four people

IMTEST tested five motorhomes suitable for four people, including models from Hymer, Knaus, Forster, Sunlight, and Etrusco. The tested motorhomes range in price from 46,000 to 127,000 euros. In 2024, 96,392 leisure vehicles were newly registered in Germany, an increase of 9.1% compared to the previous year. In the first quarter of 2025, new registrations fell by 12.9% year-on-year, mainly due to delayed commercial registrations.
