Lightship has started production of the AE.1 caravan, priced at $157,000. The model features roof-mounted solar panels and a 77 kWh traction battery, enabling off-grid stays of up to a week. It can also serve as a backup generator for a house during power cuts. Production takes place in Colorado, and the company has raised $90 million to double the factory's capacity.
