Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson on 2 November vetoed one of five motorhome permit bills (CB 121283) proposed by the city council, which would have established a licensing system for motorhome owners. Wilson said the proposal was difficult and expensive to implement and could worsen homelessness. She signed four other bills, including CB 121279, which expands the city's authority to open car parks and other resources for motorhome residents. On 3 November Wilson issued an executive order directing city departments to use 2026 funds for outreach to motorhome residents, open two safe parking sites and form a city and community working group. The 2027-2028 budget maintains funding for two parking sites expected to provide spaces for 182 residents.
