US startup Lightship has begun deliveries of its 2027 model year AE.1 travel trailer to first customers. The model is described as the world's first aero-electric travel trailer. The trailer measures 8.1 metres long, 2.5 metres wide and 2.1 metres high in travel mode, expanding to 3 metres in height at camp via a lifting canopy roof. It carries 77 kWh of lithium batteries in the chassis and 1,800 W of solar panels on the roof. Prices start at around $157,000 for the base version and reach $250,000 for the Cosmos variant.
