SOD Peak 8x8
German company SOD has unveiled the Peak 8x8 camper based on the Mercedes-Benz Arocs 4158. The all-wheel-drive truck features a 15.6-litre diesel engine producing 578 hp (up to 630 hp on request), 2800 Nm of torque and a hydraulic platform capable of carrying a Fiat 500 or several motorcycles.
The vehicle is 12 m long, 4 m high, has a kerb weight of 41 t and a fuel capacity of 800 l. The 7.5 m living module has a ceiling height of 2.3 m and 9.8 cm insulation. Inside there is a bedroom with a king-size bed, a full kitchen with an American fridge, a bathroom and a washing machine.
The price ranges from €2.5 to €3.5 million depending on the level of customisation.
