Since August 6, a new motorhome stopover with 30 pitches has been operating in Barbâtre on Noirmoutier Island, France. The site offers electricity, drinking water, Wi-Fi, waste water disposal, waste collection, and security systems. Operator Camping car Park, founded in 2011, runs over 800 stopovers and campsites across Europe, providing more than 20,000 pitches. The company says it hosts over two-thirds of the 610,000 leisure vehicles registered in France and plans to open 225 new sites by 2026. According to the operator, visitors spend an average of 56 euros, of which 44 euros go directly into the local economy; in 2025, it paid more than 16 million euros to partner municipalities.
