Sztum opens eight-pitch camper park

WDR will broadcast a 45-minute episode of "Wir werden Camper" on 12 September 2026 at 16:15. It follows Anna and Stephan from Münsterland as they travel by pickup with a spacious living cabin on the cargo bed to Poland's Baltic coast, where they can overnight anywhere.

At the 2026 Dusseldorf Caravan Salon, Polish manufacturer Niewiadow introduced the N-Cross 3 Black, a three-person travel trailer designed for couples or small families on a budget. The single-axle trailer sits on a braked AL-KO chassis with shock absorbers and corner stabilizers, measures 5.61 m long, 2.23 m wide and 2.53 m high, and has a maximum permissible weight of 950–1,000 kg, upratable to 1,050–1,300 kg. Standard features include two dinettes converting into beds for three, a kitchen with a two-burner gas cooktop, a fridge, a wet bathroom, a 30-liter freshwater tank, a 5-liter Truma TT2 electric water heater, a Truma S30004 gas heater, a 100Ah gel battery, and double-glazed windows. The base price starts at €23,400.

Polish manufacturer Niewiadow presented three new caravan models at the Caravan Salon 2026 trade fair: the N-Venture, N-Cross 3 Black, and MultiCaravan 5.0. The N-Venture is a compact off-road caravan measuring 3.94 m long, 2.00 m wide and high, with a 140×200 cm sleeping area, priced from 14,990 euros. The N-Cross 3 Black is a conventional caravan 5.61 m long, 2.05 m wide and 2.53 m high, with three berths, priced from 23,395 euros. The MultiCaravan 5.0 is a twin-axle caravan 6.54 m long, 2.50 m wide and 2.40 m high, featuring a rear garage for two motorcycles, with a starting price of around 25,000 euros for the 2027 model year.

A caravan caught fire on a private plot in Dłużyna (Włoszakowice commune). During extinguishing, two gas cylinders exploded. Six fire brigades arrived. At the site, firefighters found over a dozen camping gas cylinders and several 11 kg cylinders. Two caravans and nearby equipment, tools, and engines were burned or damaged. Losses estimated at about 20,000 zlotys. Preliminary findings suggest improper use of electrical devices and installations as the likely cause. No one was injured.

A 67-year-old from Gniewino commune is accused of stealing from a camping trailer between July and September 2026. Damage exceeds 7,000 zloty; some items recovered.

Polish manufacturer Flexicube has unveiled the Hermitainer, a container-based tiny house with a slide-out section, which the company claims is the world's only such model. When transported, it measures 12 meters in length and 2.5 meters in width; after hydraulic extension, the width increases to nearly 5 meters. The model features a 800-liter fresh water tank, a photovoltaic system, and a 5 kW diesel generator. Prices start at around 400,000 euros, with final costs depending on custom specifications. The Hermitainer was exhibited at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf.
