The main committee of Freilassing (Bavaria) unanimously approved a review of a concept to create five to eight paid motorhome parking spaces on the eastern side of the outdoor pool car park. The initiative comes from the "Pro Freilassing" faction.
The goal is to regulate wild camping by camper vans, which since 2013, after the official site on Aumühlweg was closed due to flooding, have been using unserviced spots in the town, including via apps like Park4Night.
The project involves minimal costs for markings and installing a water tap. Travelers will be able to use the pool's infrastructure during the summer season. The matter will be discussed at the main committee meeting on June 23.
