Soseonam Auto Camping Site in Danyang reopens after renovation

The Wanguisup Natural Recreation Forest on Seongsusan in Imsil County has opened as a summer destination offering accommodation, camping, water play, and forest sports. Facilities include a main building with 12 rooms (including accessible rooms), separate forest houses, 10 campsites with caravans and auto-camping sites, and a 1.15-km barefoot walking path. Reservations are available through the 'Supnadeul-e' integrated booking system.

Wonju city announced plans to build a 26-space public parking lot for caravans on private land next to Barammori Park in the business district. Residents objected, arguing that a small lot would encourage illegal parking on nearby roads. The city is now reviewing whether to halt the project due to the complaints.

Guri Urban Development Corporation will hold a paid 'Pet-cance' event at Topyeon Family Camping from Aug 14–23. 25 sites open: 19 for RVs and 6 for Easy BBQ zone.

Soseonam Auto Camping in Danyang County (North Chungcheong Province) reopened on August 1 after completing repairs to the entrance bridge and upgrading facilities. The work aimed to improve visitor safety and comfort.

With temperatures reaching 37–38°C, campsites in Daegu have become popular urban retreats. Booking competition at Apsan campsite reaches 4–5 applications per spot even on weekdays, and the Geumhogang auto campsite is also drawing visitors seeking relief from the heat. The city operates 49 campsites (10 public and 39 private) with 617 tent sites. Officials note that while the peak season is typically August–September, the early heatwave has significantly increased campers since July.

The second Mangsang Auto Camping Site has opened in Donghae, South Korea. Located adjacent to Mangsang Beach, the site offers 40 dedicated vehicle camping spots on a 29,256 m² lot. Initially, 20 spots will operate to ensure safety and operational stability. Fees: peak season 45,000 won, off-peak weekends 27,000 won, weekdays 22,000 won.
