GOCAF KINTEX The Final Season Part 2 2026

South Korea has tightened rules for motorhomes and camper vans at public parking lots. Setting up a tent, awning or using a portable burner on parking premises incurs a fine of 300,000 won for the first offence, 400,000 won for the second and 500,000 won for the third and subsequent offences. Sleeping and eating inside the vehicle are not listed as violations. Some local governments, including Cheongju, have introduced fees for parking beyond 48 hours — up to 8,000 won per day and up to 240,000 won per month; about 60 motorhomes left after the measure. Leaving a vehicle idle for over a month on a free public parking lot results in forced towing and a fine of up to 1 million won. Blocking an entrance or driveway carries a fine of 200,000 won, rising to 500,000 won for repeated violations, with immediate towing.

The Yeongjuho Auto Camping Site in Yeongju, South Korea, built in 2016 with 13.4 billion won in public funds, has no caravans or cabins accessible to wheelchair users. All 23 caravans and 5 cabins have 3–4 steps at their main entrances, and no ramps are provided. In 2025, the city added 8 new animal-shaped caravans, but accessibility for people with disabilities was not improved. A crosswalk at the entrance also lacks a curb ramp, violating legal requirements.

Sacheon Bito Solseom Auto Camping Site is located in Seopo-myeon, Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. The site covers over 10,000 pyeong (approximately 33,000 square meters) and offers camping spots, showers, restrooms, and cooking areas. Rates start at 30,000 won per night, with reservations required in advance; operating hours are 9:00 to 18:00, and parking accommodates about 50 vehicles. The campground is known for its sunset and night sky views, as well as a 1.5 km coastal walking trail.

Yeongju City has started drone delivery of fresh food for visitors to the Yeongjuho Lake auto campsite. The service runs from October 3 to November 29 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 18:00.

A new campsite, Dalmaru Camping Site, has opened in Yangsa-myeon, Ganghwa County, Incheon, offering private camping spaces with individual restrooms, jacuzzi, barbecue facilities, and children's areas. The site is located at 456 Inhwa-ro, Yangsa-myeon, Ganghwa County, Incheon.

Janggo National Fishing Port in Dangjin, completed in 2021 at a cost of 59 billion won in state funds, has been used for illegal camping and overnight stays in vehicles for several years. Despite 38 guidance notices in 2025 and the installation of banners prohibiting car camping and tent camping, visitors continue to occupy state land intended for port facilities and leave waste behind. City officials say current fishing port laws limit enforcement and plan to impose fines of up to 500,000 won for cooking and camping once amended legislation takes effect next year.
