Camping Car, Buyeo & You 2026
Yanghwa-myeon is a farming village in Buyeo County, the old capital of the Baekje kingdom, where six in ten residents are over 65. To bring visitors here, the local campsite, two cultural groups and the villagers are hosting families who travel by motorhome or caravan. The programme is backed by a national campsite support scheme.
There are two sessions of two nights each: 6–8 November (10 families) and 13–15 November (30 families). Expect an open house where campers show each other their vehicles, a potluck dinner, magic and music shows, a camping gear flea market and a market for Buyeo farm produce. The highlight is nakhwa-nori, a traditional Korean fire show in which burning pouches of charcoal powder hang on ropes and drop sparks like falling petals; it starts at 19:30 on 7 November.
On 7–8 November the same campsite also hosts the Geumgang Nakhwa Camp: paddleboarding on the Geum River, cycling, lantern making, the Baekje history quest «Sabi Run» and a farm party with dishes from local produce.
